7-Pointed Stars - Fairy Stars

The acute heptagram is known among Pagans as the Elven Star or Fairy Star, a sacred symbol to those who follow the Faery tradition. Similarly, it has been adopted as an identifier by some members of the Otherkin subculture. Blue Star Wicca also uses the symbol, where it is referred to simply as a septegram. It was used as a symbol in the Kabbalah, and later by Aleister Crowley and the Ordo Templi Orientis where it was known as the Star (or Seal) of Babalon.
Western science recognizes seven chief glands in the human body, called the endocrine glands; while Eastern yoga systems speak of the seven chakras, or centers of force, in man's subtle body.
The heptagram is also used in Christianity to symbolize the seven days of creation and became a traditional symbol for warding off evil.
In alchemy, a seven-sided star can refer to the seven planets which were known to ancient alchemists.
The 7-pointed star is often closely associated with Fairy Magic, as its 7 point refer to the seven colors of the rainbow, the seven notes of the musical scale, the seven ancient planets and the general resonance of 7 in the natural world.
