Oroborous Circle - World Serpent 5134B

Oroboros, emblematic serpent of ancient Egypt and Greece represented with its tail in its mouth, continually devouring itself and being reborn from itself. A gnostic and alchemical symbol, Oroboros expresses the unity of all things, material and spiritual, which never disappear but perpetually change form in an eternal cycle of destruction and re-creation. The serpent that eats its own tail turns itself inside out and at that moment the old universe dies and the new universe is born and the cycle starts all over again. A symbol of infinite rebirth and renewal..  This is also the Midgarrd Serpent that, by encirling the Earth and holding its own tail, binds all creation together.
