The Norse god Odin had many faces. He is called the All-Father and was leader of the assemblage of gods. There are many stories told of how he wandered the world in the guise of a beggar wearing an eye patch, a blue cloak and a broad brimmed hat. He visited unwary people sometimes staying for the night. Depending on the quality of their lives and the hospitality they offered he would leave them gifts or riddles to be answered. He is enigmatic – sometimes a benefactor, sometimes a trickster, sometimes a nemesis. His rune is blank because it indicates that the hand of Fate or Destiny is moving in an issue. It implies a certain amount of predestination in the outcome. Matters and resolutions hidden by the gods who are alive and moving in this matter.
